I'm slowly getting used to my every day routine here in Spain. It's been awesome so far! I'm really loving every moment of it!! When we have classes, I get up at 7am and get to class by 9am. Then, we have 2-3 lessons in the morning followed by a short break. We always end up going to Sento, where they serve little sandwiches called montaditos for only 2.40 euros. I usually get that with a shot or two of espresso for a total of 3 euros (we're regulars there so I think they give us a discount!) After the break, we go back to class for 2 more lessons. Side note: In case you were wondering, the lessons have been in English and Spanish depending on the preference of the student.

When we finish class for the day and head back to our casa, I usually take some time to catch up on social media, eat a little snack, then start practicing! (On a good day, I get about 4 or 5 hours of practice but most of the time it's more like 3 hours.) I've been starting my practice with the David Russell warm up technique which I hope to share with you on my Patreon page!

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, our friend Miguel plays at a small restaurant around the corner from our casa called La Taberna Iberica. We've become regulars there and it's definitely fun to have our own little "go to" hang out spot. The owner of the restaurant Pepa, is really nice and she feeds us a lot! When we order a drink (I usually get their house made organic white wine for 2 Euros a glass), it comes with free tapas so it's a really great deal! When I have to perform in class the next day, I usually skip coming here but when I need a little break from practicing, it's kind of a nice little getaway. I've played here once and sang some Bossa Nova tunes with Miguel, as he's from Brazil and has the music in his blood! I'm sure I'll be playing here more often in the near future.
