NANAE FUJIWARA

With her heartfelt passion for music and an unwavering commitment to her craft, Japanese guitarist, Nanae Fujiwara, has traveled the world with her guitar. Her dedication to sharing her artistry has garnered a substantial following of over 46,000 on Instagram, where she imparts musical wisdom and experience. From New York City to the stages of Spain, Germany, and beyond, Nanae has performed in numerous cities throughout the world, engaging audiences with emotional interpretations through her music.

Nanae teaches students of all ages throughout the Chicago area. She currently serves as Secretary on the board of the Chicago Classical Guitar Society and is a member of Ex-Aequo, a non-profit organization that helps the classical guitar community across the globe. Fujiwara’s academic achievements include an Associates Degree in Fine Arts from William Rainey Harper College, a Bachelor's in Music -Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern Illinois University, and a Masters in Interpretation of Classical Guitar from University of Alicante in Spain.

In 2023, she was awarded an Individual Artist Grant from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
